The Winterberry Medical patient portal is an easy way to manage many of your appointments with our team. This article will help you understand what the portal can do, how to get started and how to use it once you have an account.
To make it easier to find the information you need, we have organized this article into questions and answers.
Question: Do I have to use a laptop to access my patient portal?
Answer: No. You can use the portal on your phone, tablet or computer. It is available at any time, even when the clinic is closed.
Question: What can I do on the portal?
Answer: You can book certain types of appointments, check the details of an upcoming appointment, cancel an appointment and read messages from your care team.
Not every type of appointment can be booked through the portal. We explain more about this below.
Question: How do I get started?
Answer: You need a portal account before you can sign in.
Winterberry Medical must have your current email address. You may receive an email inviting you to set up your account.
Open the email and follow the instructions. You may be asked to confirm some personal details. This helps make sure your health information is connected to the right person.
Choose a password that is hard for other people to guess. Do not share your password with anyone.
If you did not receive an invitation or cannot set up your account, please contact Winterberry Medical.
Question: Now that I have an account, how do I sign in?
Answer: Visit the Winterberry Medical patient portal:
https://portal.healthmyself.net/winterberrymedical
Enter the email address connected to your account. Then enter your password.
Select Sign In or Log In.
Once you are signed in, you will see your home page. This may also be called your dashboard.
The portal may look a little different on a phone than it does on a computer, but the same main options should still be available.
Question: How do I book an appointment?
Answer: After you sign in, look for the option to book a new appointment.
The booking steps are:
Select the type of appointment you need.
Select the Winterberry Medical location.
Select the provider you would like to see.
Review the available dates and times for that provider.
Choose the date and time that work best for you.
Add any extra information you would like the team to know. This box is optional.
Select Submit Request.
Please read the appointment name carefully before making your choice. Selecting the correct appointment type helps us provide enough time with the right member of the Winterberry team.
After you submit your request, watch for a confirmation or response from the clinic.
Question: What if the appointment type I need is not listed?
Answer: Not every type of visit can be booked online.
Some appointments need more time or must be arranged by a member of the Winterberry Medical administrative team.
Please call the clinic if:
You need an appointment related to a form.
You need to book a new baby appointment.
You cannot find the correct appointment type.
Your provider is not listed.
You need a longer appointment.
No suitable times are available.
The portal tells you to contact the clinic.
You are not sure which type of appointment to choose.
Appointments involving forms or a new baby can be more complicated to schedule. Calling the clinic allows our administrative team to make sure the correct amount of time is booked with the appropriate provider.
Only some available appointment times may appear online. If you do not see a time that works, our team may still be able to help.
Question: I forgot when my appointment is. How do I check the details?
Answer: Everyone forgets sometimes!
Sign in to the portal and select Appointments.
Look for Upcoming Appointments.
You should be able to see the date, time, provider and type of visit.
Question: I need to change my appointment. How do I do that?
Answer: The Winterberry Medical portal does not have a change or reschedule button.
To choose a different date or time, you must first cancel your current appointment and then book a new one.
Sign in and open Appointments or Upcoming Appointments.
Select the appointment you need to change and choose Cancel Appointment. You will be asked to provide a reason for the cancellation.
Once the appointment has been cancelled, return to the booking section and submit a new appointment request using the regular booking steps:
Select the appointment type.
Select the location.
Select the provider.
Choose an available date and time.
Add any optional information.
Select Submit Request.
Question: I need to cancel an appointment and do not want to rebook. How do I do that?
Answer: Open Appointments and find the visit you cannot attend.
Select Cancel Appointment.
You will be asked to provide a reason for the cancellation. Follow the instructions on the screen and confirm that you would like to cancel.
Wait until you see a message confirming that the appointment has been cancelled.
Please cancel as early as you can. This gives another patient the chance to use that appointment time.
Question: I have so many passwords. What if I forget my portal password?
Answer: That happens to everyone too! You can reset your password and get back into your account.
Go to the patient portal sign-in page.
Select Forgot Password or Reset Password.
Enter the email address connected to your account. You will receive an email with instructions.
Check your junk or spam folder if the email does not arrive.
For privacy and security reasons, Winterberry Medical staff cannot see your current password.
Question: The portal is helpful, but sometimes I want to speak with the reception desk. Is that okay?
Answer: Of course.
The patient portal can be convenient, but sometimes it is easier to speak with a member of our team.

Answer: DO NOT USE THE PORTAL FOR AN EMERGENCY.
The patient portal is not for medical emergencies.

Do not wait for a portal message or appointment if you need urgent help.
Question: I am having trouble with the portal. What can I do?
Answer: If something does not look right, you cannot sign in or the appointment you need is not listed, please contact the Winterberry Medical team.
